I created this suite dedicated to the memory of a very close friend as it had always been a favourite of ours, and holds much emotional significance in a way only music can. As with all my transcriptions, I do everything completely by ear and much of this suite just came from memory after years of playing little sections on the piano here and there. Most people who come across this video will have probably heard a version of it before on my other channel, but I've improved the sound significantly using my yamaha digital piano (as opposed to the inferior piano sample from the Finale software). The Violin is however still the sample from Finale, even though the picture is a real Violin. I haven't played for years so didn't want to attempt it! No copyright infringement intended, I fully recognise James Horner as the composer of this incredible piece of work, I just wanted to make a suite out of pure love and admiration of the score. And to honour the memory of Thom, and her end! less requests for 'The Ludlows' whenever we passed a piano shop!
